ART AND CULTURE
Yoga is a millenary discipline from India, the aim of which is to reach equilibrium between body and mind.
It is based on a series of practices whose purpose is to reach the maximum level of awareness.
Among these practices we find asanas (body posture), meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), kriyas(purification), mudras (energetic seals), kirtan (chants) and mantras (chants).
Ashtanga Vinyasa: this is a practice to foster strength, resistance and emotional control through postures, breathing control and meditation.
Vinyasa: this is a characteristic method of dynamic yoga styles. It synchronises breathing and movement to join one posture with another. It is meditation in movement.
Yin Yoga: this is a passive practice with relaxed muscles that focuses on stretching, strengthening and rejuvenating the joints, ligaments, tendons and connective (fascia) tissues by remaining in a posture for several minutes.
A different way of receiving or sharing yoga, which is usually of a specific theme directed towards a goal.
